Aleksandra Pileva is a rock/pop-rock singer and songwriter from Macedonia. (Born in June 10, 1980). Aleksandra Pileva's music contains elements of modern rock,pop rock,blues /rock ballads and alternative rock.
Her first performance was in 1998 at MakFest with the song "Ti Si Toj" ("You're The One"). In 2000 she started to perform live in jazz-rock clubs in Skopje, as part of the group "Session Selection”, where she performed cover songs from Janice Joplin, Guns ‘n Rouses, Nirvanna, Alanise Morrisette.
She has won many awards for the Best Interpretation and Public Awards on festivals in Macedonia for the songs Nema Uteha,Srebreni Vojnici. Aleksandra is one of the most played artist’s on MTV Adria, her singles like “Letaj So mene “;”Ludo” had big success at MTV Adria Charts.
The album called “Get Back To Studio Rock 'n Roll”, was released on 10.september 2008 and is Aleksandra’s first album where she has wrote the music and lyrics for the songs. The album shows definite pop rock roots; blues rock ballads, alternative and post-grunge influences can be heard in some of the songs, attribute of the Aleksandra ‘s voice and style.
“Letaj So Mene” was the first single released from the album. The album contains 12 tracks.Aleksandra has participated in many projects in Macedonia , like “Macedonia Zasekogas”,”Kirilico Ispeana” and others.
Aleksandra has been involved in a number of charities, one of the activities where visiting the Macedonian troops in Iraq, on Oct. 11, 2005, Aleksandra together with the Macedonian Defense Minister and others came to visit Macedonian troops at Camp Taji Iraq, where she sings the Macedonian national anthem during a visit by Macedonian government.
Aleksandra has released in December, 2008 DVD Live, called”Live from Studio Rock & Roll”.Aleksandra is currently working on songs for her new album and is planned to be released in 2010.
