There are two Ali B's:1) The Dutch rapper2) The British DJ1. Dutch rapper Ali B (born in Zaanstad on 16 October 1981 as Ali Bouali) is a very famous rapper in The Netherlands. At the age of 14 he came in contact with rap.

In 2004 he won a lot of awards: Essent Award, Megaward, Zilveren Harp, Popprijs, Dutch Urban Award and two Mobo awards, and last but not least he won a TMF Award.He is an entertainer born on the streets.

The young rapper of Moroccan origin grew up in the streets of East Amsterdam. Here he was able to express the feelings and thoughts of other young people from his neighbourhood through effective raps and jokes.

During the past years, Ali’s career really gained momentum. From a benefit concert in Ahoy to a series of sold out concerts in the Kuip with Marco Borsato. The single 'Wat zou je doen' by Marco Borsato and rapper Ali B, that came out on 17 september 2004 has been in the charts in Holland on number 1 for 8 weeks! All proceeds of the single will go to War Child Holland.

02. He hosted the dance show on London’s Capital FM from 1999 until 2005. From 2006 until 2011 he hosted a weekly show on Kiss FM alongside regular appearances on radio stations including BBC 6 and Ministry Of Sound Radio.

He runs Air Recordings and is a regular at festivals such as Burning Man, Afrikaburn and Shambhala.
