Byun Baek-hyun, better known as Baekhyun, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, model and actor. He is a member of South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO. He began training to be a singer at age 11, inspired by South Korean singer Rain.

He also took piano lessons. Baekhyun is trained in martial arts, and has a black belt in Hapkido. In 2018, Baekhyun closed the 2018 Winter Olympics in Seoul. He also sang the South Korean National Anthem for the Olympic Committee prior to that year's Olympics.

In May 2018, Vogue revealed that Baekhyun was collaborating with Privé to release a Privé by BBH unisex streetwear collection. Despite his superstardom, Baekhyun has not abandoned his education -- along with fellow EXO members Chanyeol and Suho, he attends Kyung Hee Cyber University, where he studies Business Administration.
