“I was raised in the middle of a small town, in a Jesus-comes-first kind of house.” The opening line from a song on his debut album, sums up 23 year old David Adam Byrnes. And the title of the album, “Premium Country”, pretty well summarizes what you get with every one of its 14.
Byrnes is the youngest and newest country singer to come out of Arkansas. He is set to follow in the footsteps of Arkansas country stars (and influences) like Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Colin Raye, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Nichols, and Justin Moore.
There is a lot of momentum behind David Adam Byrnes. Currently, he is touring and doing radio interviews in anticipation of the November 30, 2010 album release. Byrnes is in the top 30 on the Music Row charts with his first single, “Sweet Distraction”, which was co-written by friend and fellow songwriter Josh Thompson.
The single reached #1 on Clear Channel’s iheartradio and is showing up on the Billboard indicator. He fell in love with country music at 3 years old, when his parents took him to his first concert to George Strait.
David Adam Byrnes packed up and moved to Nashville at just 19 years old. Shortly after arriving, Better Angels Music Group added David to their roster and he began living his dream – writing and singing country music.
He writes about growing up, relationships, heartache, and just about anything else he can relate to. One thing is certain, what you hear is what you get – you won’t find a song on David’s record that he can’t personally relate to.
If you haven’t heard David on your radio yet, it is only a matter of time. “Sweet Distraction” is already on over 66 radio stations, with more being added each week. He is already heavily touring and will be adding more shows soon in conjunction with the release of his debut album “Premium Country”.
With his traditional country voice and new country attitude, David Adam Byrnes is bound to be a household name before too long.
