Nasir Frederick Graham (born November 23, 1991), better known by his stage name Driicky Graham, is an American rapper from Oxford, North Carolina.He is currently signed to the independent record labels Nu World Era Music Group and E1 Music.
Driicky Graham born Nasir Frederick Graham on November 23, 1991, he is the son of a professional boxer in the middleweight division, Derrick Graham known as Nasty Nasir Graham and Joylette Bullock who is an educator within the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons.
He was first introduced to music when he was just three years old appearing in “Lords of Underground - Tic Toc” music video and this experience would instill hip hop in this youngster for the next decades to come.
Driicky Graham, although born in Newark, New Jersey, was raised in a small southern town located in Oxford, North Carolina, in a single parent household with his mother. Although, Driicky Graham and his dad have always maintained a close knit relationship because he spent most of his summers with him, he often felt lonely when he returned home from visits due to the physical absence of his father not being around full time and living five states away.
While the majority of his music is upbeat and will make you dance, some songs will unveil his emotional side while he tries to cope with understanding the separation of his parents and the affects their decision had on him as a child.
Driicky Graham attended and graduated from J.F. Webb Senior High School in North Carolina where his mom encouraged him to participate in many talent shows where he won recognition for poetry, rapping, singing, and dancing.
“I noticed his love for music as early as age nine and I encouraged him to pursue his dreams while maintaining his education,” says Driicky's mother. Driicky Graham was also encouraged by his high school peers with standing ovation after performing.
He realized then it was time to perfect his craft and take his career to the next level. Music and dance will become his outlet of expression.Driicky Graham was noticed at one of his talent showcases by Mr.
Cooper of Nu World Era, an independent label in early 2010, shortly after he was signed as his first rap male solo artist. “I have seen many talented artist, but I signed Driicky Graham because not only was he talented, he was a great listener, he was ambitious, hardworking, dedicated to his craft, and the perfect fit for my new label,” says Mr.
Cooper. Driicky Graham has already had the opportunity to work alongside and receive track appearances from rap artist such as Gucci Mane, Diamond, and Party Boyz. Driicky Graham was an exclusive opening act for Dallas, Texas own rap group the “Party Boyz” and "Durrough" while performing for many southern states building his fan base.
He also had the opportunity to appear on a two month summer tour with headlining acts such as Soulja Boy and Travis Porter and a No I.D. tour with Khalil of Def Jam, Jazze Pha's artist Reign, Mishon of Interscope, Lil' Trill of Trill Entertainment, Yung Berg, and Webbie.
“Music has always been inspirational to me,” says Driicky Graham. He plans to follow in the footsteps of his favorite rappers Biggie Smalls (The Notorious B. I. G.), Tupac, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Red Man, Method Man, and Naughty by Nature while looking forward to seeing you all that the Grammy Awards.
