The digital age has spawned a multitude of young DJ/Producer stars of the future. Born June 18th 1992, Turkish DJ/Producer and label owner, Faruk Sabanci is most certainly one of the youngest and most impressive in this new generation.
After studying Piano under the influence of his family, Faruk drew his attention towards Electronic Dance Music of which he began to immerse himself in the dance music sounds of the late nineties and early noughties, predominately the explosion of the TRANCE genre worldwide! Faruk managed to get his first set of decks in early 2001 and as a young boy he started to collect records, which he still does to today.
10 years since then, growing up and becoming increasingly obsessed with EDM, Faruk's trial and error self taught method has got him to his current impressive level. After signing with Paul van Dyk’s Vandit brand at the age of 16, Faruk Sabanci has earned the reputation of being the youngest and most supported Turkish DJ/Producer in the global Trance scene.
His proudest moment as a youngster came in March 2009 when Paul van Dyk played Sabanci & Truby - Leaving Ankara on the mainstage of Trance Energy in Utrecht Holland. Add to this, heavy support from highly successful artists such as Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Judge Jules and many more which makes it clear why Faruk Sabanci is truly flying the flag for Trance in Turkey.
With a good number of highly well-received releases on his belt already, late 2010 saw Faruk Sabanci’s signing with Armada Music where he released his first single in 2011, ‘Jessica’s Sanctuary’.
Sabanci became interested in the label side of the industry in late 2008 where he teamed up with Joseph Areas to form the Arisa Audio brand and the sublabel Harmonic Breeze Recordings which has become one of the most successful upcoming Trance labels of today receiving massive support by all notable Trance DJ's on the globe and have more than promising material knocking on the door.
Faruk is no stranger to the radio scene, his show named ''Cold Harmonies'' which takes place twice a month on one of the worlds leading Trance music stations, Afterhours FM is building up listeners at a steady rate.
''Turkish Delight'' is his second radio show that goes out on 10 different radio stations in the UK, Russia, Turkey, USA, Greece, Latvia, Poland and Ireland on a monthly basis. The success lead to Faruk Sabanci doing international shows in Europe, although the bigger news was yet to come.
June 2011 saw 18 year-old Faruk Sabanci’s performance at Tiesto’s Club Life World Tour in his home-town, Istanbul which has become one of many attributes that resulted in Faruk becoming one of the scenes highest demanded rising artists.
Faruk plans to team up with some exciting new artists in the future along with expanding his record label with his partner Joseph Areas. With further international gigs already lined up through out Europe, there is no doubt this youngster intends to expand his name on a worldwide basis.
Faruk Sabanci will continue to spread the sound of Trance in Turkey and is unarguably an exciting, dedicated new international artist whose at the beginning of a wonderful journey.
