HAIM is a pop-rock band made up of sisters Este (bass guitar, vocals), Danielle (guitar, vocals) and Alana Haim (guitar, keyboard, vocals). In addition to the instruments they play with the band, all three members are proficient on other instruments.
As children, the sisters performed in a cover band, Rockinhaim, along with their parents, Moti and Donna. The members of Haim are good friends with Taylor Swift and in addition to opening for her on some of her 1989 tour dates, they have traveled to Catalina and Hawaii.
Haim's music has been compared to that of Fleetwood Mac, although the group emphasizes their more modern, R&B influences. Their live shows are known to be more rock than their pop-styled recorded offerings.
On March 6, 2019, the band announced that they would be headlining the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
