Hania was born on January 13th, 1981 in Warsaw. She studied piano in elementary music school and eurythmics in secondary music school. In 2004 she has graduated from the Katowice Academy of Music, Department of Jazz and Popular Music, specialising in vocals.
She has performed in a popular TV talent show „Szansa na Sukces“ with guest star Edyta Górniak and…. she won! Between 2001 and 2002 she worked as a background vocalist for singer Natalia Kukulska.
However, it was the Polish version of „Pop Idol“ that brought her popularity. The world has almost missed seeing and hearing Hania Stach, for she auditioned with an „emergency“ group of contestants, who were unable to attend the regular auditions.
She was the favourite of the 2002/2003 Pop Idol series, as well as a clear leader in the official Idol site poll (hosted by Interia.pl). However, health issues forced her to back out before the finale.
Hania was signed to Pomaton-EMI in 2003 and her debut album was released on May 22nd, 2004. Bass player Wojtek Pilichowski produced the album. The songs were partly arranged by Wojtek Olszak and Wojtek Pilichowski, as well as Marek Kisieli–ski.
Her debut single „End Of The Road“ was released on March 29th, 2004 and was well received by the media. Ania Maliszewska directed the video. „Właśnie w taki dzień“, the second single of the album was released on May 17th, 2004 with a video directed by Radek Górka.
On May 28th Hania performed in the „Premiery“ concert at the Opole Festival. Hania performed „W–a–nie w taki dzie–“ and came in at fourth place. She gave a performance at the „Trendy“ concert (Polsat) on June 27th, which Urszula Dudziak herself nominated her for… Hania sang her own renditions of „End Of The Road“ and „Czas nas uczy pogody“.
She came in second. She was also among the very few performers invited to sing in the „Święta, Święta“ project for TVP1, for which she recorded and performed „Pada –nieg“.During the last couple of years Hania has performed extensively around the country.
Among others, she gave a well-received performance at a special concert for Pope John Paul II in 2005 and sang in the „Kwiaty we w–osach” concert in memory of composer Krzysztof Klenczon. Hania also starred in many TV programmes, such as „Stratosfera“.
However, she has mainly focused on preparing material for her new album, announced by the release of the single „Regroup“, which she presented at the Polish Eurovision Song Contest Finals in 2007.
