Lolita Storm is a digital hardcore band from the UK consisting of Nhung Napalm, Jimmy Too Bad and Spex. Romy Bonilla Medina left the band in 2004, after releasing an EP under the name Joan Of Ass. They released their single debute 'Goodbye America' / 'Get Back I'm Evil' in 1999 on the label Rabid Badger.
NME subsequently made this Single Of The Week. In 2000 they released Girls Fucking Shit Up, their best known work to date, on Digital Hardcore Recordings. Digital Hardcore Recordings also released three singles from this album, 'Red Hot Riding Hood', 'Sick Slits' and 'Hot Lips Wet Pants'.
They also appeared on two videos for DHR and a T-shirt with the Lolita Storm logo can still be found on the Digital Hardcore Official website. Amusingly, an advert appeared in NME for this album with the typo, Girls Fucking Shut Up.
Lolita Storm's last single, 'Studio 666 Smack Addict Commandos'/ 'I am Your Enemy' was released on 555 Recordings. The sound of the single had a lot in common with the digital hardcore sensibilities of Girls Fucking Shit Up.
Musically, Lolita Storm can be described as a digital hardcore band, with chanted punk lyrics about sex, bondage, drugs and feminism of a comical rather than deeply political form, put to a backdrop of generally highly aggressive digital hardcore.
They never appear as dark as Alec Empire's solo output or Atari Teenage Riot, preferring a more upbeat expression of digital hardcore music. Some of their output could be described as too much like an aggressive synth pop to be digital hardcore.
Lolita Storm perform infamously short live sets, usually just over 10 minutes. Whether the band still exists is debatable.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lolita-Storm/108180615875903https://myspace.com/lolitastormhttp://www.
