Mark Mendes is from Toronto Canada, and produces a wide range of electronic music, mainly house and tech house.Much of his early-found success is from the enormous response to his track titled ‘His Music’, which was number one on the Beatport Chart for over 2 months.

The track was featured in many artists top 10, including top artist Stonebridge and was also featured in Robbie Rivera’s monthly ‘Juicy Music’ mix. From there, Mark reformatted his style and moved away from electro, bringing his sound to a more melodic and progessive-techno cross style.

This style was evident in his two tracks 'Beneath You' and 'Another Level'. A follow up EP to these were his more deep progressive track 'Hubert Is Cool', named after his dog Hubert, and 'Tripped Out', a techno track with an absolutely beautiful break.

He quickly recieved support by djs across various genre ranges, all the way from the trance spectrum by DJ Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, to techno legend Umek, to the classic resident house DJ. Mark Mendes has a record label called 'Starter Records'.

He started this label in late 2007, and has been releasing his music on Beatport ever since. Mark also has music on Toolroom Records, Ultra, NEWS, Happy Music, CR2 (Credence), and many more labels of this calibre.

Mark Mendes remade a classic house track 'Gypsy Woman', giving it his Mark Mendes-touch feel to bring it into 2009. He recieved huge support from Steve Angello, Sebastien Ingrosso, Dave Spoon, Mark Knight, Funkagenda, Axwell, Robbie Rivera, and many more.

Mark's track 'Beneath You' won 'Best Techno Track of 2008' on Beatport.com , the largest electronic musuic download website in the world. This award was voted by thousands of fans from around the world.
