Sam Tsui is a singer-songwriter, musician, and internet celebrity who rose to fame on YouTube. He is best known for covering songs by popular artists like Adele, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, and Bruno Mars, as well as for his original songs, medleys, and mashups, along with his frequent collaborations with Kurt Hugo Schneider.

As one of the first independent musicians to harness YouTube and social media, Tsui has created and grown a combined social following of over 5 million loyal fans who call themselves the #Samily. Tsui and Schneider's careers began when they started uploading their musical collaborations in their dorm room at Yale University to YouTube.

In 2011, Tsui debuted his own YouTube channel, apart from his collaboration with Schneider. Tsui grew up in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, a street away from Schneider, his producer and accompanist, with whom he attended Wissahickon High School.

He was active in high school musicals, including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Urinetown," "Titanic the Musical," and "Miss Saigon." While a student at Yale, Tsui majored in classical Greek and was a member of Davenport College and The Duke's Men of Yale, an all-male a cappella group.

Tsui released his first full-length original album, titled Make It Up, in May 2013. Turning his digital success into ticket sales, Tsui has toured both domestically and internationally opening for musical talent including Ariana Grande, DNCE, and Bon Jovi.

In 2018, Tsui released his second full-length original album, TRUST.
