I'm Jonathan Blakoe, an electronic dance music producer currently living in Toulouse in the south of France. I make mostly trance music under the Static Blue guise and occasionally chillout or ambient tracks.
At the end of 2005 I completed my first serious trance production called "Under The Sea", which got picked up by an upcoming UK label, Six:Thirty Records. It was released early 2006 and ended up getting quite a lot of attention, also receiving support from some of the biggest trance DJ's including Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Above & Beyond.
Following the success of "Under The Sea", my second single called "Going Home" appeared on Alter Ego Records and was followed later in 2006 by a third single, "Fade Away", on the australian label Amon Vision.
In 2006 and 2007 I also got the opportunity to remix quite a few tracks for various labels including Deep Blue Records, Elevation Records, Alter Ego Records, Breeze Records and Ferry Corsten's own label Flashover Recordings.
In summer 2007, Alter Ego Records signed and released my collaboration with Amurai called "After The Sunrise" which was probably my biggest success to date, receiving remixes from Alex Morph & Van Eyden and Daniel Kandi, and DJ support from the likes of Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, above & Beyond and many other A-list DJ's.
During 2008 I had the priliege of working on several tracks and remixes with David Boldini (7 Skies). After being canned by Armin Van Buuren, our remix for 'Anjunabeats - Volume One' got picked up by Anjunabeats for a digital release.
Our remixes for 'Sunny Lax - Mique', 'Kamil Polner - Earth Protector' and 'Adam Szabo - Altra' have also been quite successful. Last but not least, our first single 'Central Park' was released in November 2008 and also received great feedback from listeners.
Since then, David and I have parted ways and I am now working on a bunch of exciting new projects - not only solo tracks and remixes but also some new collaborations.
