The Korea are a progressive metalcore band from Saint Petersburg, Russia, who formed in 2003. Preparing the material for their records the band rehearsed and performed a lot. Their first full-length release "On The Broken Wings" was released in March 2006.

Later the band made the first video for their track "The Poles". The Korea's second album "Pulse" was released in October 2007. The band had several big tours supporting the album in Russia and CIS countries.

After a long creative break the band recorded a single called "The Sandman" which was released online on April 9th, 2010. The band made the decision to change the name, sound and stylistic concept. That led to the change of the lead vocals.

In summer 2011 The Korea went into the studio to record their third LP "Chariots Of The Gods". November 19th the band released their new single and music video "Теория хаоса (Chaos Theory)".

The album "Chariots Of The Gods" was released on January 15th.
