Sara Evans
Add to FavoritesSara Evans is a country music singer-songwriter known for “A Little Bit Stronger” and “No Place That Far.” While Evans’ early work was known for its neotraditionalist take on country music, her more recent output has taken a more slick, country-pop production similar to that of Faith Hill and Martina McBride.
Evans has had five #1 singles on the U.S. Country chart, and several of her songs have become crossover hits, charting in the U.S. Top 40 as well. Evans has also won one award each from Billboard, the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association and Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI).
In September 2019, Evans released a memoir, titled “Little Bit Stronger” after her 2010 hit single. Evans married Jay Barker, a radio show host and the former quarterback for University of Alabama, on June 14, 2008.
